An extended version of Sightline is now out!
Sightline » Devlog
The game has been updated to include:
- 21 new levels, for a grand total of 30. Now we can say for sure that this game is decently lengthed!
- An optimized raycasting algorithm, so that the game lags much less on bad computers!
- Save data, so you can see which levels you've completed even after closing the game!
- A title screen!
As well as several bugfixes:
- Fixed a bug where the game crashes upon moving past the edge of the screen while the player is shown
- Fixed getting stuck when moving into a wall at an angle almost perpendicular to it
- Fixed being able to place circles on the credits screen
- Properly centered the circle explosions
As for making this into a commercial game, well, we've decided to wait on it. It would take a lot of time to complete such a project, especially because of some new, extremely complex ideas that would absolutely have to make it into the final thing! So, development on this game has stopped for now. Maybe we'll pick it up again a few years into the future.
